Contemporary Artists
Carlsbad Caverns has a long history of inspiring artists.
The cave was designated a World Heritage Site in 1996,
joining other “crown jewel” parks like
Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, and Yosemite.
Contemporary
photographers and artists in other media continue to draw
inspiration from Carlsbad Caverns. "Visions Underground"
includes examples of work by accomplished artists capturing
the magic of the subterranean landscape.
